Who will notice?

Our wedding will be a gorgeous day, no matter what.  Our venue is SPECTACULAR. But, there is a signature element to our wedding that will not be there.  I'm wondering if we skip it... will anyone notice.  You tell me.

It's this:

No, still nothing? How about these two:

If you haven't seen it by now, bless your heart. I want YOU at our wedding. The difference between the first picture in each set and the second is the lack of chandeliers in the first pictures.  Those gorgeous gorgeous chandeliers will most likely not be making an appearance at our wedding.*

Why wouldn't I want such an interesting and visual addition to our venue? You can probably guess, but I will tell you anyway:  it's all about the money, money, money.  That ba-bling ba-bling costs a lot of cha-ching, cha-ching. (anyone else singing Price Tag by Jessie J now? )

Well, sort of like the song,  we just want our guests (and the whole world too!) to dance, and we want to forget about the price tag! Those bad boys cost $2500 just to rent, however if you use the in-house florist, you get them at the discounted rate of $1200.  We haven't actually signed our florist agreement yet, but it doesn't look like we will be going with our in-house florist, as their quote came in at over a thousand more for much less decor, and that's WITHOUT the chandeliers, than a quote from a family florist we've used before.

It never really occurred to me until I was talking to a co-worker about our space.  And she said, "oh I LOVE the Curtis Center, they have those amazing chandeliers." I notice them now all the time, obviously, but I really don't think anyone will leave our wedding and say, wow that wedding would have been AMAZING except they didn't have those chandeliers...

They do make for amazing pictures though, don't they?

*The one way we may be able to get these at a discounted rate is if the wedding the night before ours uses them, and we can convince them to save themselves the time of taking them down before our wedding by offering us the lower rate.  Even then, I'm not sure we want to spend that much for something we probably won't miss.
